Fernando Teresa San José, operating under the brand AldeaCode (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our websites and products.

The short version: We don’t collect your personal data. Our tools process everything locally in your browser.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

2.1 Files and Content

When you use DuneTools or our browser extensions:

  • Your files are never uploaded to any server
  • All processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly
  • Your snippets and shortcuts are saved locally on your device using chrome.storage.local
  • We have no access to your images, PDFs, videos, or audio files
  • Extracted emails and data stay on your device

2.2 Personal Information

We do not collect:

  • Names or email addresses in an automated way (only those you provide when contacting us).
  • IP addresses for tracking (except basic server security logs).
  • Device footprints.
  • Browsing history.
  • Detailed personal usage analytics.

4. Information We MAY Receive

4.1 Merchant of Record (Product Payments)

If you purchase a product (extension/app), the transaction is handled by Lemon Squeezy:

  • Email address (for order confirmation and license delivery).
  • Payment details (handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy; AldeaCode has no access to your card data).

4.2 Contact Form and Support

When you write to us through our website or by direct email:

  • Direct Channel: The contact form functions exclusively as a bridge for direct communication. We do not store your information in any internal database for marketing or lead generation.
  • Strict Use: Data (name and email) is used exclusively to respond to your technical or commercial query regarding our development services.
  • No Tracking: we do not include these contacts in automated mailing lists or newsletters without your explicit prior consent.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Lemon Squeezy (Official Reseller)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy provides customer service for payments and handles returns. Please see their Terms of Service for more details.

5.2 Chrome Web Store

Our browser extensions are distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Google’s privacy policy applies to the download and installation process.

5.3 Vercel (Hosting)

Our websites are hosted on Vercel. They may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, request times) as part of standard web hosting.

5.4 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. This tool is only active if you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. The data collected is anonymized and used for aggregated reporting to improve our service. You can withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie settings.

6. Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

We may use essential cookies only for:

  • Language preferences
  • Dark/light mode settings

These are stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.

7. Data Retention

  • Files: Never stored (processed locally and immediately discarded)
  • Purchase records: Retained as required for tax and legal compliance
  • Support emails: Retained for up to 2 years, then deleted
